EXPORT / IMPORT PRINT FILE FEATURES

Another main feature in Printer Jockey is it allows a user to save a print file (in either a PRN or SPL format) that will have all of the print settings locked inside the file.  This will allow the user to reproduce the file exactly the same way using the same settings later on.  Below are the instructions for both exporting and importing a print file format into a printer queue.

NOTE:  In order to export a file, you will need to pause the printer queue that you are printing to.  Otherwise, the file will go to the printer and you will not have a chance to export it.

Export Instructions:
Step #1:  From the Print Queue window, you will need to select the job you want to export.  Then, click on the Job Options link and select Export. 

Step #2:  Next, select the location of where you want to save the file and give this file a name.  The file format will be either a PRN or SPL file – which is the format used by Epson printers.

Step #1:  To import an SPL or PRN file, open up the Printer Queue that you want to send the job to.  Then, click on the Job Options link and select Import.

Step #2:  Locate the file on your computer and click the Open button.

Step #3:  The file will be placed into the Printer Queue and will be sent to the corresponding printer.
